Phantom!

Tonight I got to see, "The Phantom of the Opera" (A.K.A my favorite play) at ASU Gammage and let me tell ya, it was incredible.
I had chills through about 90% of it.
That play is honestly the best thing I've ever seen every time I see it.
If you haven't seen it before, I totally recommend it. It's amazing when it's professionally done and well rehearsed.

I could watch that play all day every day. Not kidding. (Coming from the girl who cries every time at the end of this play because it's over and I won't see it again until another opportunity arises to see it.)

I think you get the idea of how much I like this play, so I'll stop rambling. ;)
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Father's Day

With Father's Day coming up soon, I thought I would share a simple project that is perfect for that special dad (or dad-figure) in your life.
So on a trip to Flagstaff a couple years ago, my family and I attended another church building there (it was Father's Day). At the end of the church meeting, each of the men were given these CUTE crafts made by the young women (12-18 yr. olds) in the ward.
When I saw them I first thought they were adorable, but then I realized how simple these crafts really were. So I came home and I tried it myself.
"Easy-peasy".

Here's just a sample of one (below). You can also add little word strips across the top of the tie if you'd like?
Suggestions: "Happy Father's Day" or "I Love You Dad" or "You're the Best" or anything you'd like

So simple. So cute. So creative. And such a perfect way to show the men in your life that you love and care about them.

Steps: (for making 1)
1. Take one small envelope (a baronial style envelope)
2. Cut off one of the ends of the envelope (just cut off a very small section)
3. Cut a slit down ward where you just cut out the section from the envelope.
4. Fold the two sections down in a "shirt collar style".
5. Take scrapbook or colored paper and cut into the shape of a tie or bow tie.
6. Slide into place under the "shirt collar" on the envelope.
7. Fill the envelope with candy (or item) of choice.

Hope that all made sense. I'm not the best at direction giving... ;)

Enjoy your Father's Day!
